About Us

We are a non profit organisation, established in Lithuania by private individuals and companies in August, 2011. Our aim is to preserve and cherish the cultural heritage of Litvaks - the Jews of the former Grand Duchy of Lithuania, to unite people who share concern for the cultural values.

Among our accomplished projects: a permanent audiovisual display for the local Jewish museum, the Litvaks' art album, Holocaust education seminars for the teachers in Lithuania, open discussions, awards for the best students’ dissertations on Jewish studies, the Vilna synagogues' map.

Our mission is to shed light on the hidden story of the Lithuanian Jews, to promote it among the new generations - both scattered around the world and living in Lithuania, to commemorate the lost Jewish civilisation and to safeguard the sparks of the Litvak identity and culture.

Vilnius - the city of hundred synagogues
